Dumplings with caramel sauce
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Mix flour, baking powder and 60g brown sugar in a bowl. Add milk, butter and vanilla essence and mix until you get a dough.
2. Divide the dough into 9 dumplings and pass them through the remaining brown sugar. Put them in a previously greased baking tray.
3. Mix brown sugar and water in a medium saucepan. Put on high heat and bring to a boil. Mix until you get a light caramel, about 8 minutes.
4. Add sour cream and butter and remove from heat.
5. Put the syrup over the dumplings and leave in the oven for another 30 minutes, until they turn brown. Serve with thick cream.
