Cooking bagels with jam:

Step 1: prepare the margarine.

We put the cooled margarine on a cutting board and cut it into small pieces with a knife. We shift the pieces into a small bowl.

We need to melt the margarine and we will do it in a water bath. To do this, pour a small amount of ordinary water into a small pot and put the capacity on the fire less than average. On top of this container we put a bowl with margarine and, with constant stirring with a tablespoon, bring the component to a liquid state. Attention: the diameter of the neck of the pan should not exceed the diameter of the base of the bowl so that the last container does not fall into the first. After the margarine becomes a liquid consistency, turn off the burner, and set it aside to cool to a warm state.

Step 2: prepare the flour.

Using a sieve, sift the flour in small portions directly into a free small bowl. This must be done in order to make the bagels soft, and the dough itself airy and without lumps. After that, we add baking soda to the container and mix everything well with a tablespoon.

Step 3: prepare the dough.

Pour warm margarine into a medium bowl and add sour cream and sugar there. Using a tablespoon, mix everything well until smooth. Then we add the flour mixture in small parts, while continuing to mix everything well with improvised stock so that no lumps form in the dough. The dough should be soft.

With clean hands, we give it a rounded shape and wrap it in cling film or in a plastic bag. We spread the dough in the refrigerator to infuse for 1 hour.

Step 4: prepare the bagels with jam.

After the allotted time for tincture of the dough expires, we take it out of the refrigerator, free it from the film and put it on the kitchen table, crushed with a small amount of flour. Using a knife, cut the dough into 6 equal parts. This must be done in order to make it easier to work with. From each test part we form a ball and then, using a rolling pin, we roll out a circle thick no more than 3 millimeters.

Now we cut each circle with a knife into equal triangles, starting from the center of the test formation. We spread on the outer edge of each triangle, with a teaspoon a small amount of jam. Attention: jam must be laid out in a small amount so that during baking it does not leak onto a baking sheet. And now, we wrap each triangle in a tube, starting from the outer edge, where the jam is.

Lubricate the baking sheet on all internal sides with a piece of butter or, using a pastry brush, lubricate with vegetable oil. You can also cover the container with baking paper. At a short distance from each other, spread the bagels with jam and put them in the oven, heated to a temperature 180 ° C during 30 minutes. After the allotted time with the help of kitchen tacks, we take out a baking sheet, turn off the oven, and set the bagels aside to cool to a warm state.

Step 5: serve the bagels with jam.

When the bagels with jam are cooled, with clean hands we shift the pastries to a special dish for serving.

At the request of bagels, you can sprinkle with powdered sugar. To do this, pour the powder into a small strainer and sprinkle the pastries. Bagels turn out very tasty, crispy on the outside and soft inside. Serving such pastries is best with tea, coffee or compote.
Good appetite!
