When the cranberries dry, each berry is punctured with a large needle and put in a bowl, sprinkled with sugar. Leave for 30 minutes to make juice.
Step 2: mix the ingredients.Pour berries with sugar into a clean three-liter jar and add vodka to them. Meanwhile, we put 1 liter of water, preferably filtered, to boil. Having boiled water, let it cool and add cold tincture to the top of the can already cold. Mix the contents and close the lid.
Step 3: insist on filling. We put the jar of berries in a dark place. A cabinet or pantry is well suited for this. The temperature in the place where the liquor will be infused should be within room temperature 19-20 degrees. It takes about one month for the berries to give up their whole taste, but the longer the liquor stays, the tastier it will turn out.
Step 4: serve to the table. When the filling is infused, it should be filtered through several layers of gauze. Serve the drink should be in the decanter, it is better if its walls will have a faceted pattern. The beautiful color of the tincture and faceted walls will give the effect of a ruby that will decorate any holiday table. Enjoy your meal!
- - pricking cranberry berries is a rather time-consuming process, you can just grind the berries in a blender, but then the tincture will not be as transparent as necessary.
- - in order to give the cranberry tincture a pleasant aroma, you can add a few sprigs of mint and 1 tablespoon of galangal, or as it is also called the root root.
- - sugar often settles during insisting on the bottom of the can. Try the tincture if it is sweet enough, transfer the contents to another jar, so that the sugar remains at the bottom. If the drink did not seem sweet enough to you, mix the contents until the sugar dissolves.
